They are usually classified by their weight with an alphabetic sequence. The A letter identifies the lightest backing, particularly suitable for handworks. Heavier backings (B/C/D/E/F/G weight) are suitable for more demanding workings with tools and automatic and semiautomatic machines. Paper backing abrasives are used for the treatment of every kind of surface. They can be directly manufactured in our laboratory in every size required by the customer. Cloth backing abrasivesAluminium Oxide, Silicon Carbide, Zirconium Oxide, CeramicCloth backings enable every kind of working: wood, metal, glass, cloth... They are classified by their consistency and flexibility. They have an alphabetical scale of identification: J for flexible backings, X for the stiffest and Y for the heaviest. Every backing has its use: handwork, with tools, with automatic and semiautomatic machines, with robotized machines... Cloth backing abrasives support even the most demanding workings and some backings enable to work with cooling liquid, required in a lot of metal surfaces treatments.
